Dentsply Sirona's SDR Flow+ composite provides the answer to the two major challenges in direct restorations: adaptation and efficiency.
SDR Flow is a flowable composite used as a dentin substitute whose unique, patented formula allows controlled polymerization including a modulator that helps the monomers to form a network with lower tension. This compensates for the effect of volume shrinkage. For this reason, SDR Flow+ can be applied in 4 mm increments without the need for a liner, avoiding the cumbersome incremental technique and reducing treatment time.
Its adaptability is key to the long-term success of the treatment: spaces at the margins are at risk of developing lesions in the cavity walls. However, SDR technology allows the material to adapt within the preparation by flowing through all corners and grooves; thus providing excellent adaptation during placement.
Advantages of the SDR Flow filling system:
- SDR Flow filler technology is simple, fast and efficient.
- The flowable consistency of SDR Flow provides excellent cavity adaptation and perfect self-leveling.
- It is compatible with composites and methacrylate-based adhesives.
The new formulation of the SDR flow+ material adds even more versatility, introducing new shades and increasing its indications.
Main indications for SDR Flow+ composite:
- As a dentin substitute in direct Class I and II restorations.
- Approved for use in Class III and Class IV restorations.
- Base under direct restorative materials.
- Pit and fissure sealing.
- Small Class I (conservative Class I).
- Core build-up
